You have just arrived at the web portal for the California Department
of Water Resources, Division of Planning and Local Assistance (DPLA).
As the name implies, DPLA performs water planning and helps communities
make wise water management decisions. Those two tasks cover a lot of ground.
There are more than 100 programs and activities, which you'll find on this Web site.
The range of these programs is vast. It goes from updating the important
California Water Plan (Bulletin 160), which is always on the table when vital
decisions about water are considered, to advising a small irrigation district
that wants to use water more efficiently. As you move about this Web site,
you'll see the variety of expertise and programs at DPLA.
To help you navigate through this web site, we have developed a navigation
menu of links to the left of this web page. As you click on the links you
will "drill down" until you reach a program or activity of interest to you.
